Career Notes:

Sarah Hinkley was the MAC 5,000m and 10,000m runner-up in 2003 while competing for Western Michigan University. She was also a member of the school-record 4x1500m relay team. She made a successful marathon debut at the 2006 Detroit Free Press Marathon, placing fourth in 2:53:33. She improved that time by more than six minutes the following spring at Grandma's.

 
Personal Notes:

Hinkley grew up and attended high school in Reading, MI. She majored in creative writing at Western Michigan University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in the same subject. She is also an assistant track and field coach at Hillsdale College.
