Career Notes:
Flamino was a three-time Division III All-American at Trinity College in Connecticut in 5,000m and cross country. She has set new personal bests twice at the Walt Disney Half Marathon in Florida, finishing seventh in 2006 (1:23:42) and fifth in 2007 (1:22:17), rounding out a 1-5 sweep by the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project. She was 13th at the 2006 U.S. 25K championships in Michigan last May, finishing in 1:23:42. Flamino’s marathon debut came at the 2006 Chicago Marathon when she clocked a 2:45:19 time to finish 29th–and achieved her goal of qualifying for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Women’s Marathon to be held in Boston.

Personal Notes:
Flamino was born in Ware, MA, but grew up in Ellington, CT. She received her bachelor’s of science from Trinity College and a master’s degree in exercise and sports studies at Smith College in Massachusetts. Flamino was the head coach in cross country and track and field at the United States Merchant Marine Academy before she joined the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project in Michigan to train with the women’s team, coached by brothers Keith and Kevin Hanson.
