Career Notes:
If her high school and college careers are any indication, marathon newcomer Jamie Krzyminski has a lot of room for improvement still. As a high schooler in Corunna, MI, she was a three-time state 1600m champ, two-time 3200 champ, two-time cross country champ, and was also a member of the 1999 state champion 4x800m team. As a red-shirt freshman at Michigan State University, Krzyminski won the 2001 U.S. Junior National title at 5,000m. Competing for the Spartan she was a four-time NCAA All-American (three times outdoors and once indoors), and a six-time Big Ten Champion. She capped off her collegiate career by winning the 5,000m and 10,000m Big Ten titles in May 2004 then placed third at the NCAA Championships 10,000m a month later. Following graduation, she then placed eighth in the Olympic Trials 10,000m. Krzyminski made her marathon debut in Chicago in 2006, and comfortably qualified for the Olympic Trials, running 2:43:34.

Personal Notes:
Krzyminski was a finance major at Michigan State University.
