A prolific marathoner, Terris has often completed multiple marathons within just a few months--with great results. She once completed 17 marathons in 17 months, averaging a finishing time of 2:55. In the midst of that streak, in September and October of 2003, Terris completed three marathons in three weeks, nearly running a PR in the first and winning the second and third. Terris has won the Des Moines Marathon three times and the Foot Traffic Flat Marathon twice. She is also a two-time champion of the Sunmart Texas Trail 50K, having completed the race in 3:51:46 in 2005 and 3:52:22 in 2006. A goalie for the soccer team at Willamette University, Terris was an all-conference selection. Wendy and her husband, David, live in Milwaukie, OR, with their son Sebastian. |
